So, I'm January James and I live in the rural south of England with my husband, daughter and our crazy sprockapoo, Ralph.

Until a few years ago, I inhabited the fast-paced, adrenalin-fuelled workplaces I like to write about, as a communications professional. Now, I spend my days dreaming up new characters and stories and trying my best to avoid indoor soft play.

And this is me, as a book-obsessed kid and now with my crazy dog!
